What happens with me is that I get an error message about being unable to connect to Intuit's 'Secure Print Service.' When your computer is connected, I suspect that this happens in the background, without requring a login. Would you mind doing an experiment? Disconnect your computer from the network (easy to do if it's a wired connection but less easy if it's wireless) and then try to print.
This is with the Premier version on a Mac. Encryption does require login in, but printing does not.
